The entirety of Bollywood is celebrating the massive success of Shahrukh Khan's latest film 'Pathaan' except maybe Kangana Ranaut. Ever since she has returned on Twitter, the actress has made several statements connecting politics with the film. She earlier said that a film called 'Pathaan' may bring box office numbers but the country will still chant Jai Shree Ram.
Kangana is also popular for her vitriolic statements targeted towards Bollywood, the very industry which she works in. In a recent tweet, the actress warned Bollywood to not propagate hindu hate narrative. She wrote, "Bollywood walon yeh narrative banane ki koshish mat karna ki iss desh mein tum Hindu hate se suffer kar rahe ho, agar maine phir se yeh word suna âtriumph over hateâ toh tum logon ki wahi class lagegi jo kal lagi thi." For the unversed, the success of 'Pathaan' is being termed as victory of love over hate as the film has overcome boycott trends and the negative publicity targeted at it.
Kangana had earlier tweeted, "All those who are claiming Pathaan is triumph of love over hate, I agree, but whose love over whose hate? Letâs be precise, whose is buying tickets and making it a success? Yes it is Indiaâs love and inclusiveness where 80 percent Hindus live and yet a film called Pathan, which shows our enemy nation Pakistan and ISI in good light is running successfully. It is this spirit of India beyond hate and judgements that makes it mahan..."
Calling out Kangana for her unnecessary tweets, a user wrote, "Chalo Pathaan ko side mein karte hai (let's put Pathaan aside for a moment)... another example of âtriumph over hateâ is how your last nine movies tanked one after another. Audience has rejected Kangana, we know you are desperate now to be where Smriti Irani (BJP leader and union minister) is." Another wrote, "Madam ji, aap kaha se ho?? Bollywood se nahi ho?? Alag koi industry se aye ho kya (Are you not from Bollywood)??"
When someone reminded Kangana about the epic failure of her film 'Dhaakad', Kangana said, âYes, Dhakad was a historic flop, when did I deny this? This is SRK ji's first successful film in ten years, we also take inspiration from him, I hope we will also get a similar chance that India gave him. After all this India is great, it is generous, Jai Shri Ram.â
